Description

How to Use:

  • Ensure that the surface where you install the tiles is clean, dry, and free from dust, grease, or debris. Proper surface preparation is crucial to achieving a strong and long-lasting bond.
  • Follow the manufacturer’s instructions to mix the tile adhesive properly. Typically, you’ll need to add water gradually to the powder while stirring continuously until you achieve a smooth, lump-free consistency. Use a clean bucket and a mixing paddle for this process.
  • Use a notched trowel to spread a layer of tile adhesive on the prepared surface. The size of the trowel and the thickness of the adhesive layer will depend on the size and type of tiles you are installing. Ensure that the adhesive is evenly distributed.
  • To install the tiles, carefully press them into the adhesive, ensuring they align correctly and level. Use spacers to maintain consistent gaps between the tiles for grouting later. Work in small sections to prevent the adhesive from drying out too quickly.
  • As you install the tiles, periodically check for alignment and adjust if needed. Use a level and rubber mallet to tap the tiles gently into place, ensuring a flat and uniform surface.
  • Wipe any excess adhesive that may have squeezed out between the tiles using a damp sponge or cloth. Be mindful not to disturb the position of the tiles while cleaning.
  • Allow the adhesive to cure as per the manufacturer’s guidelines. The curing time will vary depending on the type of adhesive used and environmental conditions. Avoid heavy foot traffic on the newly installed tiles during this period.
  • Once the adhesive has fully cured, you can grout the gaps between the tiles. Apply the grout with a rubber float, pressing it firmly into the gaps. Wipe off excess grout with a damp sponge before it dries.
  • After the grout has dried, clean the tiles to remove any grout haze. Seal the grout lines with a suitable sealer to enhance durability and prevent stains.
